Abstract:
Russian society is experiencing an acute lack of civic consciousness and activity among all social groups of the population. And the greatest hopes in terms of the civic forefront of the country, the foundation for the development and distribution of authentic civic practices are placed on the student youth as the future intellectual elite of the state. Civic attitudes in various (network, protest, volunteer, etc.) actions are especially manifested among students than among the rest of the youth and the Russian population as a whole. In this regard, on base of the methodological model of the theory of mental programs the social behavior of students of higher education institutions of the Rostov region is examined. The results of the study revealed three types of mental programs of social behavior in the civic sphere: civic, conformist and hybrid. Each of them defines the specifics of students' behavior in the civic sphere and their attitude to civic practices.
