Abstract:
Based on the analysis of conceptual documents, scientific literature and author’s research, the article discusses the stages of military professional education transformation in modern Russia from 1992 to the present. Obeying both Federal and departmental requirements, military education differentially adapts the development trends of the Russian educational system, taking into account the needs and traditions of the army. The key direction of reform planned in the first post-Soviet years and implemented at the present time was the formation of a system of continuous multi-level education on the basis of major educayional- research centers. The trend of democratization of cadet life, civil-military rapprochement and gender inclusion has slowed down.
