Abstract:
The article examines the problems of maintaining legal and public order in society. Based on the institutional method of identifying the features of the court as a social institution, the stages of institutionalization of the modern judicial system. The problem of institutional trust of the Russian civilian to the judicial system is considered. A sociological analysis of functions and dysfunctions has been carried out. Measures are proposed to strengthen the authority of the judicial system in the public consciousness of Russians.
