Abstract: The article examines the problems of socialization of Russian youth in the context of state youth policy. On the basis of the institutional and spatial approaches, the problem field of the main institutional educational socializing contexts is highlighted. The role of non-institutional contexts of socialization is determined. The analysis of value-normative distortions of the subjects of socialization is carried out. The social risks of dysfunctions of socializing educational institutions and deviations of socializing agents are described; explanatory sociological and statistical data are given. Analyzed the measures to overcome the negative tendencies of socialization of Russian youth, contained in state program documents.
