Abstract:
The article considers the prospects and obstacles to tourism development in domestic tourist destinations. The main types of tourism that have high potential for promotion in the market are identified: cultural, pilgrimage, beach, recreational and business tourism. The tendencies of development and promotion of each of the above-mentioned types of tourism are considered. Recommendations on the promotion of tourist destinations are given. It is concluded that the most rational step would be to build a promotion campaign around the positioning of the destination as the center of one type of tourism, without trying to develop all directions simultaneously.
