Abstract: The article presents institutional trust as a tool for assessing authorities performance in the political, social and economic spheres of life. The problem of trust in the ratings of executive states and political personalities is considered. The study aims to examine empirically the rating of public confidence in the authorities through the assessments of students of the Faculty of Management South-Russia Institute of Management – branch of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
