Abstract: The article examines the problems of countering radicalism in modern Russia, defines the role of educational institutions in the implementation of modern Russian policy to counter the spread of the ideology of extremism and terrorism, identifies methodological features of the prevention of extremism among young people, analyzes the dynamics of offenses and crimes of extremist orientation among Russian youth and offers innovative tools for the prevention of extremism in universities.
