Abstract: Within the framework of this article, the social health of Russian youth, according to the results of the author's research, is considered at the level of macrosociological risk analysis. As the basic theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the social health of young people, sociocentric and riskogenic approaches are used. As a result, the authors comes to the conclusion that the social health of Russian youth (on the example of the South of Russia) is threatened by: institutional risks associated with the institutional transformation of the Russian society; risks associated with global informatization and the destruction of traditional values; as well as the risks associated with the growth of social and interethnic tension.
