Abstract:
Secession is a real threat to the territorial integrity and national security of modern states. Being a form of separatism, secession challenge from inside the sovereignty of a state over some region included in it. In connection with this, the vital theoretical task is to define the main characteristics of secession as a social and political phenomenon.
