Abstract: The authors analyze processes of social identification of youth of Sverdlovsk region through a prism of formation and development of its civil culture. According to the regional poll the authors show priorities of professional, national and territorial, confessional and other forms of self-determination of young citizens of Russia, specific tendencies in gender, age, local (in the place of residence) and social (as major activity) groups are revealed.
