Abstract: The article provides an overview of the Forum “World of philosophy”, held from 16 to 19 april at the Ural state pedagogical university (Ekaterinburg). The review argues the main thesis of the Forum on the primacy of philosophical knowledge and its necessity for the future development of mankind. Philosophy is the foundation of education, which, in turn, is a bridge to the future. The necessity of modernization of modern Russian education, based on both technological and philosophical grounds, is expressed, which is the key to harmonious and holistic development of society in the future.
