Abstract: The article considers the problem of growing aggression, violence, crime and other illegal actions, including those of an extremist nature, committed by adolescents and young people, which is relevant for modern Russian society. The novelty of this study consists in the attempt to systematically disclose destructive behavior as a social phenomenon, various forms of its manifestation, as well as to identify the main risk factors that contribute to its spread in the adolescent-youth environment. On the basis of the comprehensive analysis, the role of objective (social) and internal (subjective) factors influencing various forms of adolescents and youth destructive behavior (aggression, violence, protest actions, extremist activity) is presented. Particular attention is paid to disclosing economic, socio-cultural, ideological, advocacy, educational, socio-psychological and moral-ethical reasons. A list of possible measures and methods that can counteract the emergence and spread of deviant adolescent and youth subcultures, as well as various forms of delinquent behavior, is presented. The conclusion is made about the need to strengthen civil-patriotic and spiritual and moral education, as well as coordination of actions of various social institutions aimed at preventing criminal and extremist activities among adolescents and young people.
