Abstract: The relevance of the study is determined by two interrelated points: the need to increase (1) the effectiveness of comprehensive support for persons with ASD and (2) the quality of life of children with ASD and the families in which they grow up. Comprehensive support can be neither (a) comprehensive without active, conscious, appropriately qualified participation of the family, nor (b) effective if the attitudes of specialists are not maintained for most of the day (when correcting autism, especially at the initial stage, it is actually necessary to change the lifestyle for the entire family). The only way to overcome these difficulties is to raise the awareness of family members in which there is a child with autism, their awareness of their real responsibility to the child and the possibilities of its effective implementation. Object of research: the process of support to families with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Subject: Families with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Purpose: to describe foreign and domestic experience on the problem of involvement of parents of children with ASD, contributing to an increase in the efficiency of the support process. Objectives: to analyze foreign and domestic literature on the problem of the involvement of parents of children with ASD in their comprehensive support. Methods: analysis of literature data; comparative studies; information visualization; comparison and generalization of the results obtained. Results: research materials can be used to qualitatively change work with parents and other family members of children with ASD in organizations implementing early assistance, preschool and primary general education programs, as well as in public organizations uniting parents of children with ASD.
