Abstract:
The common vision of the school and the community in relation to what school means underlies the policy of institutional development and prefigures the ways to increase quality. The concrete situation in which the school operates indicates, in general, the needs expressed by the educational actors. The need for a coherent, systemic approach to quality in education and training leading to the optimization of public spending, improving access to education for young people from all social groups, maintaining high standards for education, and its international openness, is unanimously recognized in Europe.
