Abstract:
Organizational culture and safety culture are the subject of study in several scientific fields, including ergonomics. Representatives of these areas are still debating the associated meanings orthe exact meaning of the concepts of "organizational culture" and "safety culture", including theinterdependent relationships between them. The paper aims to present a framework of the historicalincursion and the main attempts in defining the safety culture and its characteristics, having asresults the stating of the integration of the safety culture in the general culture of the organizations.
