Abstract: In this paper, the authors evaluate the tourism services in the Romanian economy during the recent period. The potential and resource of major tourism area in the country are analyzed. The main indicators considered in the scope of the research are the arrivals of tourists, the net use of accommodation index, the arrivals of foreign tourists, emphasizing the value corresponding to the European Union citizens, the preference for tourism manifested by some categories - pensioners, students.
