Abstract:
Nghe An is a province in central coast of Vietnam, where there are favorable conditions for farm development. In recent years, along with an increase in the number of farms is the large fluctuations of agricultural market which makes the farmers fell into stagnation goods; the goods are hard to sold, and the price is unstable. This study aims to detect the advantages and disadvantages of the market during the consumption process of farm products; it also gives solutions and policies so that the agricultural market will be opened and develop well. The survey is implemented through questionnaires on 125 farms. We focus on clarifying the following basic contents: Characteristics of domestic consumption market of agricultural products in Nghe An province; to indentify the intermediates who participate into the domestic consumption market of agricultural products; to identify primary distribution channels in the province; orientation and measures to promote consumption of agricultural products. In the context of consumption of farm products, in general, the farm owners and consumption intermediates still do not have close business relationship. It is popular that the farm owners are not active in looking for partners, and they lack market information. Therefore, it is important to prioritize the market solutions and we recognize the important role of the intermediates. In the long term, we should consider the issue of market strategy and regional material planning, and create favorable conditions for the establishment and operation of processing facilities.
