Abstract:
The establishment of new outlets is very important for companies because it’s a decision that involves a high degree of risk and seeks substantial investments. A wrong choice can be costly to the company. Therefore decision makers use several methods to make their choice and judge the appropriate location of their point of sale, however, it’s sometimes difficult to select a method and the company may have to combine several methods at the same time to reach a satisfactory result, this decision also depends on the resources the company is willing to spend to conduct its studies. The banking sector is a sector in which location decisions are very common, we have chosen to illustrate our research with the case of a bank branch establishment and examine the methods used and their limitations.
