Abstract:
WOLFGANG STREECK is Professor and Director emeritus at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne. Born in 1946, he studied sociology in Frankfurt and at Columbia. From 1976 to 1988 he was a Research Fellow at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin, and from 1988 to 1995 he worked as a Professor of Sociology and Industrial Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
