Foreign Trade Review, 2004, vol. 39, issue 2, 43-67
Abstract:
This study concentrates on the foreign trade surplus of the princely state of erstwhile Travancore and its impact on the economy of Travancore during 1894-1947. Further, an attempt has been made to analyze the trade surplus in the light of classical and neo-classical theories and with the theory of export pessimism.
