Regional Trade Estimation: A Hybrid Approach

Abstract: This article presents an overview of the hybrid approach to the construction of regional input-output tables. As an example, the Australian GRIT system is described in some detail. Some of the shortcomings and weaknesses of the current models are discussed, together with suggestions for future research.
