Kunal M Majee

Management and Labour Studies, 2000, vol. 25, issue 1, 43-48

Abstract: The Indian coal mining industry is a huge endeavour employing a giant workforce and producing nearly 200 million tonnes of coal every year. Trade Unions are many and powerful. They have had remarkable success in improving the wages and bettering the work conditions of the miners. However, in the maintenance of industrial peace their record has been mixed.
