Emerging Need for New Breed of Entrepreneurs in India

Abstract: Winds of Liberalisation blowing across the globe ushered in sweeping changes in every facet of business. Opening up of world economies brought in new opportunities in business. Collapse of command economies, volatile and violent change in business environment caused by quick obsolescence of technology posed new challenges in business. In order to face the fierce competition companies started restructuring their organisations by adapting new technologies to achieve higher productivity and competitiveness. The emergency of new economy brought in structural change in the organisations and its very functioning. This paper discussed the emerging need for new breed of entrepreneurs in the light of change and how emerging change becomes vital in the organisations for success and also discusses the impact of socio-economic and political environment of business and how the environment breeds new class of entrepreneurs.
