International Migration and its Impact: Some Perspectives

Abstract: This paper focuses on positive dimensions and possibilities in the migration-development relationship. It highlights the links between migration, development and conflicts from the premises that to align policies on migration and development, migrant and refugee diasporas. The present study is an attempt to review the literature on the impact of migration on the development of the economy and state with emphasis on Kerala state in India. Also, an attempt has been made to analyse the trends in the monetary remittances of the migrants from foreign countries.
