Abstract:
The first part of this article (i) summarises the development of the economy so far this year (ii) sets out what would have been likely to happen in 1965, in the absence of policy measures (iii) considers the effect of the measures taken so far, and (iv) discusses their adequacy. The second part of the article provides more detailed supporting analyses.
