Abstract:
In the strategic context, cultivation of innovative patterns of thinking and development of the disciplines of learning organisation constitute the key variables regulating the long-term success of any organisation. The attitude of employees as determined by the development oriented culture greatly influences, the learning capacity of organisation. The present work has been undertaken with this focus in view. It is an indepth study of development climate and the resultant satisfaction in the Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd. The study discloses an interesting phenomenon-people are happy in environment that is not congenial. Though not satisfied with the development policies, they are not interested in developing themselves.
