Abstract: The goal of knowledge management is the shaing and reuse of information-research information in the case of research and academic agencies and institutions. In a world of scarce resources, this is a necessity. However, research information needs to be captured and stored before it may be shared and reused. A great deal of information, or knowledge if you will, is embedded in processes that require meticulous documentation. With the advent of digital tools, process documentation has ceased to be a cumbersome task and has increased its potential as a genuine source of knowldge to be shared. Herein lies the value of this book. Contained within its cover as are valuable insights and systematic procedures on how to capture, store, and analyze qualitative data using digital tools as a guide to the contemporary process documentor/social scientist as well as an aid to the knowledge manager.
