Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to analyze the use of satellite tracking systems by trucking companies in Sao Paulo City, Brazil, considering their growing importance to the transport sector. Multivariate analysis is used to explain the simultaneous relations among the variables. As the data are qualitative, correspondence analysis is used to indicate the existence of well defined groups. Subsequently, companies with similar behavior concerning the use of tracking systems are classified through cluster analysis
