Abstract: The article deals with the complex influence of the transport system on the regional economy. The transport infrastructure provides mobility of goods and resources. It also facilitates accessibility of territories by means of free movement of finished goods, material resources and the labour. In turn, regional economic development is the main gear of the transport market development. Changes in the industrial structure as well as increasing internationalization of business influence the mode of infrastructure exploitation.
