Abstract: This article analyses the dynamics of Russian economic development in relation to monetary policy, focusing on its consequences for long-term economical growth. The author then proposes a policy which would increase the market value of the Ruble. The fact that domestik demand has gone unter a drastic reduction means that a refusal Vo staengthen ihe Ruble would have a detrimental effect on the national economy.
