Abstract:
This article describes foreign research of time allocation during the last decade. Analysis is based on reports, published by Eurostat and several national statistics organs of the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Sweden. Attention is also paid to the role which Russian researchers have played in general theoretical development and practice of time-allocation research. The author points to the need for re-consideration and re-implementation of time allocation surveys within the Russian Federation.
