Abstract: The present article is based on materials gathered during a research and business trip to Thailand in September December, 2002. During this trip, the author had an opportunity to study the national economy, the activity of the Board of Investments (BOI), to visit some enterprises built with help of BOI, and to study their technological structure and international economic relations.
