Abstract: The concept of management of innovation development of the region is suggested and proved. The methodological approaches to its development are stated, the principles and purposes of the concept are determined. The special attention is given to the strategic aims of the concept, such as innovation thinking, human capital, inter-industry, interregional and international interaction, regional strategic projects, management of innovation development of region.
