Abstract: The paper considers problems of modernization at industrial enterprises as a systemic upgrading of all elements of industrial production. It is noted that mam obstacles to modernization are caused by the lack of comprehensive modernization programs, underinvestment in the development of production, lack of a strategic partnership between industries. Results of the evaluation of competitiveness of enterprises are given. Basic directions for modernization of enterprises are analysed.
