Abstract: The place of the economic mechanism of improving the efficiency of a motor transport enterprise functioning in the system of enterprise management has been determined. The concepts of management mechanism, as well as economic and economical mechanisms have been considered. Dominance of management mechanism, economical and economic mechanisms has been proved by the hierarchy method. The content of the economic mechanism of improving the efficiency of motor-transport enterprise activity has been determined and its structure has been developed.
