Abstract: The methodical approach to determination of competence of motor-transport enterprise (MTE) employees which uses the methods of analysis of time expenditure has been offered. It differs from the existing ones by the way of choosing the basic competencies of the employees of each category from the general list (the system of competences) and setting their desired values considering the ponderability. The algorithm of determining competence of lawyers with the help of the method of paired comparisons is presented. The criteria for the assessment of available competencies of motor-transport enterprise drivers have been developed.
