Abstract:
The work shows the results of biochemical identification of field isolates and collection strains of Mannheimia haemolytica in comparison with Pasteurella multocida. The results obtained confirm the high degree of similarity between the biochemical profiles of these species of microorganisms. Among major biochemical tests recommended for the differentiation Mannheimia haemolytica from Pasteurella multocida should be considered a test for indole, sorbitol, maltose, ornithindecarboxilase, o-nitrophenyl urea-β, D-galactoside (ONPG). Differentiation of bacteria Mannheimia haemolytica from similar in biochemical properties, species Bibersteinia trehalosi should be carried out using tests of arabinose, trehalose, xylose, lactose, hydrolysis of esculin, liquefaction of gelatin.
