Abstract:
This article addresses the essence of the term «corporate culture», its elements and the corporate culture's features providing for the company's goal achievement called positive corporate culture. The sources of the corporate culture formation are studied in the similar way to any other sub-culture. The author interprets the terms «positive» and «negative» corporate culture based on their influence upon company's objective achievement. The specific aspects of the corporate cultures formed in Russian companies under the influence of Russian national culture and mentality are studied. This includes ambiguous features of the current Russian culture that can be used by companies' managers to form positive intra-company culture. The objective of the human resource management by means of corporate culture formation is stated at the labour productivity increase and company's competitiveness improvement. The author suggests a list of measures for gradual formation of positive corporate culture based on the change management theory. The competitive advantages gained through the positive corporate culture formation are pointed out. The author also suggests the indicator system for estimation of corporate culture positive influence on a company.
