Abstract:
One of the indicators characterizing epizootic process is economic damage caused by infectious diseases of farm animals. Social and economic value of rabies constantly increases as the modern epizooty of rabies of natural and city type got global distribution. In the world from rabies over 1 million different types of animals annually perish, causing huge economic damage. It is difficult to overestimate economic value of rabies in the Russian Federation. Only real economic loss of meat production from a case and the compelled extermination of sick animals, and also expenses on their utilization, for 1991-2015 in the modern prices for products of animal husbandry amounted to 657 million rubles.
