Abstract: Citrobacter s are widespread in the environment they can be found in water, soil, various effluents; they can be isolated from the intestines and urinary tract of man, horses, cattle, dogs, rodents, birds, reptiles. Also they can be found in a variety of food products. Due high resistance to external influences, they persist in soil for more than 6 months, in manure up to 11 months, in water up to 10 months. Article describes using bacteriophages C66, C61 and C52 for indication of Citrobacter bacterias in different objects of environment.
