Abstract: In this article we examine the centralization vs. decentralization dilemma in the investment process on the submicrolevel, by the example of work planning, costs and product deliveries in a natural monopoly. In the final analysis we come to the conclusion about which type of investment planning, centralized or decentralized, can be more effective for the monopoly in the long run.
