Abstract: Managerial decision-making on the issue of buying or leasing capital assets has to be preceded by the comparison of total payment flows for each of the forms of capital assets replacement. The article provides calculations which prove the superior efficiency of leasing compared to the other forms of capital assets replacement (long-term bank credit, purchasing for the company's own funds). The author outlines the options which a lessee has when using a lease scheme. The article can be useful both for students and for lessees.
