Abstract: This article investigates the problem of financing small and medium businesses. It concludes that there are significant opportunities to use the experience of developed countries to regulate and assist the development of small and medium enterprises in Ukraine, that may promote better regulation and support the sector-specific development of both the small and medium-sized businesses and the economy of Ukraine in general.
