Abstract: Монография посвящена новой научной и учебной дисциплине – «Теория ущерба», включающей расчетный раздел – «Экономика ущерба». Исследовано понятие «ущерб»: его происхождение, формирование как экономической категории, роль и место в процесс общественного развития. Выявлены недостатки современного представления об ущербе, предложены пути решения возникающих противоречий и разночтений, разработаны методы комплексного расчета ущерба как показателя, обусловленного совокупным воздействием выделенной номенклатуры негативных явлений. Рассмотрены как общие, так и некоторые специфические вопросы определения понятия «ущерб» - многоаспектной и комплексной междисциплинарной категории. Для специалистов, оперирующих экономическим термином «ущерб» в своей области знания, научных работников, а также преподавателей, студентов и аспирантов. The same in English: The monograph is devoted to a new scientific and educational subject, namely "The theory of damage", including the calculation section "Economy of damage". A complex research of the damage concept is presented, its origin, formation as an economic category as well as its role and place in the process of social development. Deficiency in modern perception of damage is revealed, ways of solving the arising contradictions and different interpretations are offered, and approaches of complex calculation of damage as a parameter caused by influence of a selected spectrum of negative phenomena are developed. Both general and some specific questions of definition of the damage concept as a multiple-aspect and complex interdisciplinary category are also considered. The monograph is focused on experts dealing with the economic term "damage" in their area of knowledge, research workers, lectures, students and post-graduate students.
