GALICIA/EUROPE, 1955-2005. HALF A CENTURY OF CLOSENESS
Manuel Jaime Barreiro Gil
Revista Galega de Economía, 2008, vol. 17, issue ex
Abstract:
The Economic and Social History of Galicia is contextualized in Europe. It is particularly evident since the mid-twentieth century, when two major stages can be outlined: the first, from 1950 to 1986, as a country of emigration, and the second, from 1986 to present, as Spanish region integrated into the European institutional system, and whose economic policy is embedded in the communitary policies of cohesion and convergence.
