Kanaengnid Tantigate-Quah

in Research Studies from South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Research and Training Centre

Abstract: This publication reports the outcome of the study on Thailand. It is divided into two parts. The first part covers an overview of the leading indicator approach. It focuses on the procedure developed and used by the Centre for International Business Cycle Research (CIBCR) in dating the growth cycle chronology and selecting leading economic indicators. This procedure is later applied to the case of Thailand, the results of which are presented in the second part of the report.
