Abstract: Nowadays, the canon of modern monetary policy, conducting by independent central bank is the principle. The book analyzes the direct inflation targeting strategy and the management of inflation expectations. In the context of financial stability has been addressed issues of uniform surveillance in the European integration process, created banking union and the risks associated with payment backlogs. The book analyzes as well selected fiscal policy problems associated with budgetary discipline and the impact of expenditures in R & D on economic growth and public debt.
