Abstract:
This Canada case study, part of the Post-2015 Data Test initiative, examines Canada's capacity to monitor and report on a post-2015 sustainable development agenda. The report assesses Canada's data availability and quality across six thematic priority areas: ending poverty, ensuring quality education, creating inclusive economic growth, ensuring energy and infrastructure access, establishing a sustainable environment, and promoting open and accountable institutions. It finds that Canada has strong data infrastructure in many areas but important gaps in monitoring sustainable development outcomes.
