Abstract: Internal consolidation processes in the Russian banking sector have become increasingly active in the last few years. It is possible to say now that in fact the number of players on the banking services market is much less than the total number of currently operating credit institutions. Unlike the other banking services markets, the Russian market is characterized by the low number of foreign market players.
