A. Kogan
Journal of Modern Competition, 2011, issue 3, 4-17
Abstract:
The article deals with the nature and content of the entrepreneurial spirit of capitalism, and its influence on the formation and development of the capitalist system of XX-XXI centuries. The author, relying on the work of Max Weber, reveals the religious, educational, social and genetic background of phenomena of entrepreneurship and competition, and also explains how the Spirit of Capitalism connects and harmonizes opposed economic interests of the subjects of the capitalist system. The paper presents an attempt to combine Weber's theory of capitalist spirit with a basis of Marx's economic doctrine.
